After finishing the script, we started with the storyboard.
We did weekly meetings in where all together discussed along with the teachers how the shots would look like. We draw the storyboard in Photoshop and print it at larger scale, in order to hang it from the wall and be able to look at it while redrawing things and making annotations.
Little by little, the story improved. We managed to cut some extra parts of it, in order to make it more understandable and factible, given our limitations along with the scope.
At the end, we did the cleanup of the shots and created more poses, in order to do the animatic.
Along with the animatic, we set the color storyboard, the guide for color and their emotions during the whole short, for having a general tonal feeling of it, later illuminating the short and changing any tone needed.
