Production time!

After finishing the layouts and having all set up, we are about to start animating.

For organizing the production, we are mainly using and Trello and Gantt chart. We keep our archives in the SVN repository of the university.

In Trello, we have a card for each shot, having the possibility of moving them as we go though the different stages. In that way, we can easily locate where is more workload and thanks to the filters, control which shots are where.

Each of us can subscribe to the cards they are working on, so everyone knows at any moment what is being done. In addition, teachers receive notifications whenever we complete a task, so they can give feedback on the spot.

Linked to one of those cards, we have an excel, where we have our Gantt chart. On the left we can see the complexity of the shot, and on the right the expected time to complete them. The colors correspond to the different teammates. Depending on the complication of the scene, the time varies from two weeks for the easier ones and four for the hardest.

In addition, we have another document in which we can indicate the task completing each week, so is even easier to keep track.

On the downside, half of the team will be unable to work during one week and a half, and we may experience unpredictable problems along with several delay while animating, due to the complication of some movements. All in all, the production animation wise is expected to be almost completed if not totally completed around the 15th week of the semester, around April's last week.

After said date, will continue working in the lighting, rendering and post production.
